A pixelated animation based on a conversation between my niece and I. Music is re- arranged from a Nintendo Wii Shop theme.
This 6 month StopMotion animation is to raise awareness of water pollution by presenting the sources of pollutants caused by each character in the film. From daily activities that we don’t notice, such as household activity and being an artist to large scale of pollution such as chemical factories and oil spills. In this animation, the 4 characters are a family. The housewife is the mother, the factory worker the father, the oil carrier their son and the artist their daughter. Each of the characters displays their daily activities and the consequences of their action, which is polluting the water. It seems like nothing when an individual discard poisonous liquid or garbage away, but when everyone around the world is doing this, it causes a great effect to the water. My intention is to express the concept that everything comes in full circle. These pollutants kill all marine life which also has ramifications for human life as well. I handmade all the sets and clothes, design and film process.
